I can’t believe Disney made a character that looks similar to another character
WALT AND THE 9 OLD MEN WOULD HAVE NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN
DISNEY HAS GONE SO DOWNHILL IN THE RECENT ERA
July 18 1955: Disneyland’s First Public Day!
Disneyland’s first public operating day had crowds gathering in line as early as 2:00 am. On this humid day, admission cost only $1. David MacPherson was the first person to buy a ticket and enter the park, with his number 2 ticket. Roy O. Disney had pre-purchased ticket number 1. A misleading, official picture of Walt Disney and two children—Christine Vess Watkins (age 5) and Michael Schwartner (7)—incorrectly identifies them as the first two guests of Disneyland. They were awarded—along with MacPherson—were awarded lifetime passes to Disneyland. Also in attendance was a young boy named Ron Schneider and his family. (Ron later worked at Disneyland, and then later became Epcot’s original Dreamfinder.) Approximately 50,000 guests attended the Monday opening day.
